Nursery on the Green and Preschool

Donna Martin

Nursery Manager

Donna lives in Basingstoke. She first qualified in childcare in 1993, completing the Family and Community Care (City and Guilds) and then went on to complete her NVQ Level 3 in childcare in October 2007.

Donna has worked within the childcare industry since first qualifying and has worked with children aged 0-15 years. Donna joined Nursery on the Green in February 2011 after having worked for our sister nursery Elvetham Heath Day Nursery and Preschool in 2008. Prior to this she worked at Footsteps Day Nursery and Preschool where she helped re-vamp the Preschool there.

Donna has a wealth of experience in day nursery settings and has extensive training in all areas of child development and also has the role of the Safe Guarding of Coordinator. She is also working towards her A1 award where she will be able to help and support staff that are working towards their qualification in childcare.

Lynsey Gardner

Deputy Manager

Lynsey lives in Farnham and has been qualified for over 12 years. After working in a nursery as an apprentice, she stayed at that nursery for 6 years and was then promoted to Room Manager.

In 2000 Lynsey joined Hatton Hill nursery as a Room Manager and has stayed with the nursery as they joined the Casterbridge Group and became Nursery on the Green. Lynsey has worked with all age groups at the nursery and took on the role of Junior Deputy in 2005. In June 2009, Lynsey left the Preschoool to take on the role of Deputy Manager within the nursery. Lynsey is proud to be one of the longest serving members of the staff team.

Nia Maynard

Junior Deputy Manager

Nia lives in Frimley with her 2 children. Her son also attends the nursery within our Badgers preschool room which is for children aged 3-5. Nia first joined the nursery at the end of the summer 2006 and has worked within all the rooms within the nursery during her time before taking on her current role in March 2011 as Junior Deputy Manager.

Nia holds a foundation Degree in childcare and is currently studying for her BA Honours degree in Early Years. Nia also has the role of our Quality Assurance Coordinator within the nursery.

Penny Hesselwood

Hedgehogs Room Manager

Penny joined the nursery in 2009 and lives within the Frimley area. Before joining the nursery, Penny worked with a family as a Nanny and also in a nursery within the Bournemouth area.

When Penny first joined us she held her level 2 in childcare and took on the role of as a Nursery Nurse. Penny then went onto complete her level 3 in Childcare with us and is now qualified to a level 3. During her time at Nursery on the Green Penny has spent time supporting all the rooms before going onto take the role of Deputy Room Manager in our Preschool room.

She has recently been promoted to Room Manager of our Hedgehogs room (Baby Room) and is looking forward in working with this age group.

Chantel Deebank

Rabbits Room Manager 15mths - 2years

Chantel joined the nursery as a Nursery Nurse and spent time working with all the age groups before going on to take the role as the Room Manager of our Rabbits room which is for children aged 18 months – 2 years.

Chantel lives in Frimley with her partner and son who also attend the nursery within our Preschool room. She has a wealth of experience and has worked with children aged 3 months to 8 years. She first started working within a Crèche and Preschool before joining the nursery in December 2009. Chantel holds a Diploma level 3 in childcare.

Carley Ellis

Squirrels Room Manager 2-3's

Carley lives in Sandhurst and joined Nursery on the Green in the summer of 2009. Carley runs our Squirrels Room which is for our 2-3's. Prior to this she was based within our Preschool room where she has more than seven years experience.

Carley has a diploma in Preschool practice (DPP) and has completed numerous courses relating to the Early years sector. She is currently attending the Casterbridge ILM course designed at Leadership and Management to further her own career.

Faye Culverhouse

Preschool Principle

Faye lives in Farnborough and holds her BA Hons in early childhood studies. Faye first joined the nursery in October 2007. She has a wealth of experience working with children in other Preschool settings and has also spent time before joining the team in an Infant School.

Faye has been spending time building links with schools within the local area to help that transition from our Preschool room into their new "big" schools. Faye is also the Nursery's Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO)

Debbie Colville

Nursery Chef

Debbie Colville joined Nursery on the Green and Preschool in November 2011. Before joining the team Debbie previously ran a kitchen for a nursery with over 159 places for over 10 years. She has also cooked in Hospitals and the Army providing meals to suit special diets.

Debbie enjoys cooking a range of meals for the children ensuring that the meals we provide are nutritional. Taking in to consideration any allergies and preferences that we have at the nursery.

She enjoys cooking with the children and getting them involved with creating new dishes. Debbie also works closely with the staff team and parents to provide a range of meals for the children.
